Position Summary
We are seeking a candidate with ten years’ experience in managing client programs and account teams. In addition to a solid understanding of corporate communications, the successful candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills. He/she should also be a dynamic and proactive problem solver and be able to participate in new business development and support organizational initiatives.
Our directors are industry professionals that contribute to the professional development of their staff and clients. He/she must have the ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously and ensure quality execution on all aspects of communications assignments for a portfolio of clients. The successful candidate is expected to be well versed in both traditional and new media and be capable of developing strategic and integrated communications programs.
Primary Responsibilities
· Act as a trusted advisor to key clients, some of whom may be at the C-Suite level
· Profitably lead a portfolio of client business and seek opportunities to grow client relationships into new geographic areas and practice capabilities
· Develop overall communications plans for these clients and be accountable for quality delivery
· Profitably identify and/or lead new business efforts from new or existing clients
· Maintain personal billability of at least 70% while generating significant work for more junior staff
· Proactively manage client expectations and address all issues impacting client satisfaction
· Manage the key financial metrics of client relationship, including client contribution and working capital
· Recruit new talent that broadens and deepens our capabilities
· Play a lead role in developing, mentoring and training staff
· Proactively address staff performance issues
· Raise the visibility and enhance the reputation of the firm externally through activities such as published articles and speaking engagements
· Take the lead in driving expertise around a capability, product or methodology

· Ability to make tough decisions and execute swift action plans
· University graduate in Communications, Journalism or related discipline
· Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
· Spoken Cantonese preferred but not essential.
